Event Write-Up:
We are excited to invite families with young children with diverse learning needs (9 years old and below) and their siblings to join Playeum’s upcoming Open Minds, Open Doors initiative - an inclusive, free-to-access community play programme to support families in using play as a way to nurture agency and 21st century skills in their children.
This free programme, in partnership with Arts of the Earth Learning Hub, is funded by the President’s Challenge with the support of UOB. Parents and caregivers have the opportunity to receive on-site and online guidance through parent workshops from play and disability expert Dr Esther Joosa. She will share on how families can adopt playful strategies to support their children’s learning and development at home. There will also be opportunities to explore individual coaching.
The community play sessions are conducted on selected Saturday afternoons between 13 July and 30 November 2024 across two locations - Caregivers Pod @ Enabling Village and b_together @ Dempsey.
