DESCRIPTION
Trauma is a response to events that can be experienced as harmful and threatening and can impact on the individual psychologically and emotionally in a negative way.

In individuals on the autism spectrum, this often has impact on emotional regulation, communication, coping mechanisms and the impact of stressors and triggers.

The workshop will define trauma and the impact to the brain, as well as explore the intersection of autism and trauma. Practical approaches and strategies will be explored across both age and stages of development.
