What if this year is the year everything is taken from you?
YEAR ZERO: Disability Redefined drops audiences into a world after a reset, where arts, culture, language, and identity have been erased. Bodies are controlled. Voices are silenced. To exist is to resist being forgotten.
Rejecting norms of ability, productivity, and power, YEAR ZERO asks who is allowed to be seen, heard, and remembered, and at whose expense.
Carving out new ways to communicate when words fail, movement becomes defiance, sound becomes survival. As systems collapse, a collective body rises. What remains is the fierce and fragile act of rebuilding, together.
This is not comfortable theatre.
This is urgent.
This is resistance.
It is hope and connection.
An emergence.
