The Fundamentals of Autism workshop aims to increase participant awareness through an introduction to Autism and the “Culture of Autism”. It is particularly relevant to those who wish to learn more about autism so that they can better teach, support and interact with individuals on the autism spectrum.
Participants will acquire a fundamental understanding of:
- common facts and myths related to autism
- how autism may affect the individual’s experiences and behavior
- support and intervention needs of individuals on the autism spectrum
- practical intervention strategies that work
